A modern waterfront home Renovation

Our brief was to create a spectacular family home. Tideways sits on the Kingsbridge estuary in a prime waterfront location. It is flooded with natural light and the proposal was to enhance this by opening up the current layout internally to maximise the view and the feeling of space throughout.

The existing internal layout required some alterations including the renovation of an attached holiday let. Every window was replaced with a well thought out window schedule to capture the stunning views the property offered. Bespoke staircases were designed and fitted giving the property the grand entrance it needed. New bathrooms and flooring were designed and fitted throughout alongside bespoke joinery and cabinetry.

The main proposal was to create a sense of inside outside living. We installed a beautiful handmade Kitchen that fitted in the open plan living and dining space, which all extended out onto a raised decked area.

We renovated the entire external areas including new electric entrance gates, Cedral cladding to the houses exterior, fibre glass flat roof, seamless glass balustrade and the landscaping of the houses gardens with the use of Millboard decking and the creation of feature steps.

The quality of finish is testimony to Chris’ attention to detail and willingness, not only to adapt the original plans, but often to suggest improvements. Throughout, his communication with us was excellent – sending us photographs of progress every week and scheduling face to face meetings to ensure the team had the decisions necessary to move on at pace.
