A renovation and extension of a coastal holiday home in Hope Cove

Seabrook was a single storey bungalow in need of some TLC. The clients wanted to modernise its look in keeping with its coastal location.

The build proposal was to carry out internal alterations to the existing layout, extension to both East and West elevations to provide a new bedroom and new utility/wet room area, and to create a new loft room with associated staircase.

We commenced our demolition of the internal walls and floor, alongside excavating and forming new strip foundations for the extensions. The property required damp proofing and tanking before new concrete pour floors were laid and new ceilings installed. Powder coated Aluminium windows and external glazed doors including a 6 metre Bifold unit were installed. We were thoughtful with the houses finishing touches, using Engineered Oak flooring throughout, bespoke joinery units and cladding and an impressive staircase. New bathrooms were installed throughout along with a Kitchen to finish off the new open plan living space.

We also updated the properties outside areas with a new driveway and hidden services, a wraparound decking area for entertaining, a hot tub and an outside shower.

The house is now enjoyed by the clients as well as being available to holiday visitors through Toad Hall Cottages.
