MEADOW RIDGE

To create a striking and modern family home in Salcombe

The original house was demolished with the new dwelling retaining the perimeters of the original footprint.  The efficiency and economics of a new build outweighed the option of working with the given structure.

Following its demolition, Meadow Ridge was rebuilt in both a timber frame and masonry construction utilising modern efficient materials.  We created gorgeous vaulted first floor ceilings with aluminium windows and bi fold doors giving the house and its owners the most incredible view of Salcombe estuary.

The house had a full electrical and plumbing specification installed, along with slate, zinc and fibre glass roofs.  Underfloor heating was installed underneath engineered Oak wood flooring throughout.

With a blank canvas internally, we created ample bedroom space, four bathrooms, boot room and utility areas, balcony with Millboard decking and glass balustrade and an impressive open plan living space which incorporated a wood burner stove and entertaining space. We designed and fitted a beautiful handmade Kitchen which flowed seamlessly within the open plan space.

With limited outside space to work with, we created a driveway and landscaped front gardens with a seating area and external shower facilities at the rear of the property.
Chris and his team delivered the complete re build of our new house, Meadow Ridge. Since I (Jez) work in construction we knew from the outset of the project what we wanted to achieve and the high standards of workmanship and finishes we expected. Chris and his team did not disappoint. At all times from first meeting to the last items of decoration, Chris and his team have gone out of their way to ensure our satisfaction in every aspect of the build.

Throughout the build the site was always kept clean and tidy and the quality of the finished house is exceptional, in every respect reflecting the vision we wished to achieve at the outset of the project in 2014.

We would therefore have no hesitation in using Chris and his team again or in recommending him to other potential clients.
